Position Summary:



As Canada's multicultural population expands, the need for occupational therapy tailored to multilingual families is growing. We are looking for a compassionate and driven Occupational Therapist to join our team.

Your Role:



Provide culturally sensitive therapy, consultations, coach and education to children, families, and caregivers in diverse settings, including homes and communities. Collaborate with families to set measurable goals, partner with parents, and work closely with a multidisciplinary team. Support a diverse caseload by maintaining accurate documentation and personalized care plans while adapting to individual needs. Communicate effectively with families and team members to share therapy techniques and new approaches in a culturally responsive way. Adapt to a variety of client needs, including making house calls when required, ensuring therapy remains accessible. Use creative problem-solving and available resources to address challenges while valuing the richness of diversity.

What You Bring:



Membership with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists. Familiarity with behavioral intervention programs, direct teaching strategies, Pivotal Response Treatment, child development theory, and early childhood services. Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong crisis assessment and intervention abilities. Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle. Clear Criminal Record and Child Intervention checks. Certification in Child and Infant CPR and First Aid.
