Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of neurodiversity-affirming supports in the areas of activities of daily living (e.g., self-help skills) and motor skills, and in alignment with the Centre's values and philosophical framework.

Responsibilities:

Participate in a multi-disciplinary team through the provision of expertise in occupational therapy Select and conduct standardized/non-standardized assessments to support diagnostic services and/or guide clinical practice Learn to deliver a variety of evidence-based practices in naturalistic, person-directed settings Use evidence-based coaching models to build capacity in family members and community organizations Contribute to the development and delivery of community-based workshops Build and maintain positive working relationships with individuals, families, and community organizations receiving services Promote and support inclusive programming across home, school, and community environments. Write and maintain accurate service records ensuring all required documentation timelines are met Travel within Edmonton and Area is required (mileage is reimbursed)

Qualifications:

Member of Alberta College of Occupational Therapists Excellent Interpersonal skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Effective organizational, decision-making, and time management skills Demonstrated ability to effectively work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle Current professional liability insurance Clean Criminal Record Check Clean Child Intervention Check Valid certification in Child and Infant CPR and First Aid

Pay: $74,793.00-$94,746.00 per year
