Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, focusing on improving the functional abilities of individuals with physical, developmental, or emotional challenges. This role involves working in a hospital setting and may include case management responsibilities, particularly in acute care environments and pediatrics.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their needs and develop individualized treatment plans. Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing patients' ability to perform daily activities. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care. Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary. Educate patients and their families about therapeutic techniques and home exercises. Maintain accurate records in compliance with medical documentation standards. Stay current with advancements in occupational therapy practices and medical terminology.

Skills

Strong knowledge of hospital procedures and patient care protocols. Proficiency in case management practices to effectively coordinate patient services. Experience in acute care settings, demonstrating the ability to handle diverse patient needs. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy. Experience working with pediatric populations is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases efficiently.
