Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and a passion for helping individuals regain their independence through tailored therapeutic interventions. This role involves working closely with patients of all ages, including paediatrics, in various settings such as hospitals and critical care environments.

Responsibilities

Assess patients' physical and mental health needs to develop individualized treatment plans. Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' ability to perform daily activities. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including speech therapists and case managers, to ensure comprehensive patient care. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment options and rehabilitation processes. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes in accordance with medical terminology standards. Stay informed about advancements in physiotherapy practices, anatomy knowledge, and medical imaging techniques relevant to occupational therapy.

Experience

Previous experience in a outpatient clinical setting is highly desirable, particularly with MVA, Concussion patients. Familiarity with speech therapy practices is an advantage. A solid understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology is essential for effective patient assessment and treatment. Experience in case management will be beneficial in coordinating patient care effectively. A background in paediatrics is advantageous for those working with younger patients.
