Each year, we support over 500 children through inclusive, community-based programming that fosters development, connection, and confidence.


Are you a passionate and client-centered professional looking to make a real difference? We're seeking an

Occupational Therapist

to join our interdisciplinary team. This vital role delivers therapeutic supports that promote children's independence, skill development, and overall well-being -- at home, at school, and in the community.


We are hiring for a

flexible FTE ranging from 0.5 to 1.0 FTE depending on candidate availability

, with opportunities to work across multiple Pacekids programs including

Early Childhood Services (ECS), Community-Inclusive Hours (CIH), and Trellis programming

.


This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, brings creativity and compassion to their work, and is dedicated to supporting children and families in achieving meaningful outcomes.

What You'll Do



Develop and coach occupational therapy programming in classroom, home, and community settings Coach and consult with families to provide strategies that promote development and independence in activities of daily living (e.g., dressing, feeding, toileting, grooming, fine motor skills, sensory processing) Conduct screenings and assessments (formal and informal) of preschool and school-aged children to support program-specific needs Develop, monitor, and update individualized goals (IPP/SPPP/ISP) in collaboration with families and interdisciplinary teams Participate in team and family meetings to ensure holistic support and progress tracking Provide transition and summary reports; maintain documentation to meet Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT) and Pacekids standards Meet all documentation, hour tracking, and billing deadlines as applicable Educate and train Pacekids staff to enhance therapy-informed programming Contribute to a positive, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture in line with Pacekids' values

What You Bring



Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent) Registered member in good standing with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT) Professional liability insurance (current and updated annually) Current Alberta driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for community work Clearance from a Criminal Record Check (including Vulnerable Sector) and Child Intervention Record Check, current within 6 months Proficiency in English (written and verbal) Experience supporting preschool and school-aged children Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, families, and colleagues Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse needs and abilities

Location & Schedule



Based out of Pacekids' new Sunridge location, south location, and in the community as needed Flexible FTE available (0.5 to 1.0 FTE depending on candidate availability) Monday to Friday (schedule flexibility as needed based on operational requirements) Paid mileage for community-based work
