Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions to determine their occupational therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to help patients improve their ability to perform daily activities
- Provide therapeutic interventions, such as exercises, activities, and adaptive equipment, to help patients regain or enhance their functional abilities
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and speech therapists, to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
- Monitor and document patients' progress during therapy sessions and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on strategies for managing their conditions and promoting independence
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state licensure by COTO
- Experience in acute care, pediatrics, or case management preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of various medical conditions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt treatment plans based on individual patient needs
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advancements in the field of occupational therapy
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $100.00-$160.00 per hour
