Occupational Health And Safety (ohs) Consultant Safety, Culture And Leadership

Richmond, BC, Canada

Job Description

Overview

Picture an employer who values workplace health and safety so much they consider it with every business decision they make. Sound too good to be true? The Safety Culture and Leadership team doesn\'t think so. In fact, the team exists to make that picture a reality.

Do you have experience in occupational health and safety where you have created and implemented leading practice programs to prevent injury in the workplace? Are you a creative thinker? Our Safety Culture and Leadership team has an opportunity for an OHS Consultant who will work directly with larger BC employers to help them develop leading practice health and safety programs and processes to manage their risks and improve their health and safety performance.

The Safety Culture and Leadership team (SCL) is a performance improvement consulting group within the Consultation and Education Services (CES) department in the Prevention Services division at WorkSafeBC. Working directly with external client organizations, its primary responsibility is to enable selected employers to take ownership of their occupational health and safety challenges, improve their prevention practices, and reduce their workplace injuries. Consulting in the health and safety leading practice space and working directly with clients also enables the SCL team to develop and test innovative new health and safety improvement tools. A number of these tools have become part of WorkSafeBC\xe2\x80\x99s prevention resource collection and been published. New and leading practice tool development is a significant stream of work for the Safety Culture and Leadership team
