Occasional Teacher
Job Description
Family oriented childcare centre is looking for an Occasional/ Supply Educator. Team members will perform duties of a teacher or teacher assistant in scheduled classrooms. Candidates will assist in providing the consistency of day-to-day responsibilities with students during the absence of the regular teacher or teachers assistant. They will provide a caring and supportive environment in partnership with the other teachers in the classroom, which addresses the unique individual needs of children.The Supply Teacher is to ensure their classroom is following proper school practices and is aligned with the Policies and Procedures of CentreWe Require:
- Up to date immunization record or a notarized letter of medical exemption
- Completion of a 2 step TB skin test or clear chest X-ray
- Clear vulnerable sector check completed within the last 6 months
- Valid First Aid and CPR-C certificate
Part-time hours: 8-40 per weekSalary: $17.50-$19.50 per hourSchedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
All PPE available if requestedExperience:
- Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
- CPR + First Aid/ willing to obtain (preferred)
- Vulnerable Sector Screening/ willing to obtain (preferred)
