Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Repair and Maintenance Technician to join our commercial real estate team on a casual basis as a subcontractor. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical and troubleshooting skills to maintain and repair small items and address minor issues around the properties. This role offers an opportunity to work in a casual environment, utilizing technical skills to ensure operational efficiency and safety across various properties. Candidates with experience in industrial, labour and maintenance work will find this position particularly fitting. Excellent analysis and customer service skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs around buildings, requiring basic mechanical and carpentry skills Collaborate with team members to prioritize repairs and coordinate scheduled maintenance activities. Maintain records of repairs performed and parts used; interpret schematics for complex troubleshooting tasks. Provide excellent communication service by emailing, messaging or calling regularly to update projects as they are completed

Requirements

History of building maintenance and sanitation would be appreciated Good communication skills in English; ability to document repairs clearly and collaborate effectively with team members. Safety-conscious mindset with adherence to industry standards. This position offers the opportunity for hands-on involvement

Time Commitment

This is a casual or temporary role that only requires someone have available hours during the week in which to drop by three different locations around Fredericton and complete tasks like changing light bulbs, minor repairs to small building issues, and using industrial cleaning supplies when needed. Work can be completed around your schedule ( assuming access during normal business hours isn't required - which is just to say not all jobs can be completed after hours This is supplemental work to be added to your weekly schedule. Not full time or even regular part-time work but simply being on-call and fitting in our requests when you have availability.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
