8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday to Friday

Term effective February 17/25 to June 27/25

Job Summary:

River East Transcona School Division is hiring multiple In-School Nutrition Program Facilitators to deliver healthy foods to students in schools through the local daily school nutrition program. Positions will be in the schools listed below, and there may be opportunity for Facilitators to work at multiple schools and be scheduled up to 25 hours per week, depending on availability, interest, and each school's needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Liaise with the Divisional Nutrition Program Coordinator to coordinate supplies and foods to support the Nutrition Program.
• Plan snacks for students in accordance with the Canada Food Guide.
• Manage the inventory and storage of food and supplies.
• Prepare foods as required.
• Supply and manage a daily snack cart.
• Wash and sanitize food equipment in accordance with Health and Safety Guidelines.
• Distribute program information and publicity materials.

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:

•Qualifications•

• Knowledge and/or experience of working with young people is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is an asset.
• Upon hire, external applicants must supply a Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Search, and a cleared Child Abuse Registry Check, as conditions of employment.

• Candidate must have Class 5 Driver License
• Access to a reliable vehicle is an asset
• Food Handler certification is an asset

• Sitting or standing for long periods of time may be required
• Unpacking delivered goods and may require lifting
• Purchasing supplies may require walking long distances

Pay: $15.80-$16.20 per hour
