NURSING SUPERVISOR



Full-Time



Salary Range: $51.34 - $55.34 / hour



We are seeking a dedicated Nursing Supervisor to lead our nursing care services with integrity, compassion, and a deep commitment to person-centered care. This role supports Sisters in their home, the Congregation's Peterborough Residence. This role is ideal for a values-motivated leader who embraces collaboration, ethical excellence, and honours the sacredness of each individual's journey.

Responsibilities Include:



Leadership and Oversight - providing day to day leadership and operational management of a 14+ bed care unit and maintaining a nurturing environment rooted in compassion, dignity, and holistic well-being, always in alignment with the values of the Sisters of St. Joseph.

Person-Centered Clinical Excellence - ensuring care practices reflect current regulations and ethical nursing standards, in order to maintain the highest standards of whole-person care for the Sisters, with a responsibility of protecting and encouraging the agency of Sisters in the Care Centre.

Collaborative Care & Communication - Serve as a key liaison between the Care Centre and external health care providers. Act as a trusted medical resource and advocate for the Sisters, facilitating seamless, integrated care across settings.

Engagement - Provide leadership and guidance to a multidisciplinary team of care, wellness and activity professionals. Facilitate and engage in regular collaborative meetings with the St. Joseph's Community (Residence) and Holy Family Community (Care Centre), the Administrator, and staff, to ensure care practices consistently reflect the Congregation's mission, values, and holistic philosophy of service.

Skills You Bring:



Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, including leadership experience, with demonstrated gerontology education and related experience. Registered Nurse (RN) preferred;

Good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). Please outline any expanded scope of practice qualifications such as prescribing, Gentle Persuasive Approach, GNC, CAPCE certification or similar;

Demonstrated knowledge of a safety culture in a health care setting in compliance with legislated requirements;

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor, support and inspire a diverse staffing complement, in alignment with the values and charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph;

Demonstrated commitment to whole person-centered care, with regard for spiritual, emotional, and physical dimensions of health;

Ability to adapt to, and implement change, and facilitate acceptance of change by others;

A warm and grounded presence with strong interpersonal and communication abilities;

Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of fostering trusting relationships with Sisters, families, other departments, and external health care providers;

Proficiency in care coordination and staffing;

Comfort with digital tools such as Point Click Care, scheduling software and other health care software tools.

Collaborative Partnerships:

This role actively engages with the London Care Centre location to encourage a relationship of mutual support and knowledge.

On-call support is a required component of this position.

Additional Requirements:



A recent (within 6 months) police record check will be required.
