About You
We are currently looking to hire a caring and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team of qualified health care professionals. The ideal candidate must be able to attend to multiple patients at a time in a fast-paced environment. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will make clinical decisions and plan care as part of an inter-professional health care team. You will be supported by experienced primary care practitioners, including physicians, nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, nurses, social workers and pharmacists
Job description :
Monitor, assess, diagnose and prescribe treatments to patients
Communicate diagnosis and treatment plan options with patients and other healthcare staff
Liaise with physicians and other internal and external members of the health care team to ensure resident care needs are met;
Advocate for, and facilitate, the principles of self-care by ensuring involvement of patients in their own care plan.

Respond to emergency situations and assess patients to identify appropriate interventions
Practice in accordance with College of Nurses of Ontario Practice Standards and Ministry of Health regulations.
Practice in accordance with the rules and security requirements of the facility.
Requirements:
Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration in the Extended Class (EC)
1-3 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner
Professional Liability Insurance
Current CPR and First Aid Certificate
Clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check within the last 12 months
TB test within the last 12 months
Proof of covid-19 vaccination
Must be familiar with online charting (eg. MEDITECH, e-MAR, Point-Click-Care)
Ability to work solely or as part of a team in a fast-paced, busy environment
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
