As part of our evolving model of care, we are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to support inbox management remotely.
Position Summary:
We are looking for a licensed Nurse Practitioner to join our clinical team in a remote, part-time capacity focused on
inbox review and management
. The NP will support physicians by reviewing and triaging incoming clinical communications, including lab results, diagnostic imaging, specialist reports, medication refill requests, and patient messages. This role is ideal for an experienced NP with strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a preference for flexible, asynchronous remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and triage EMR inbox items such as lab results, imaging reports, and consultation notes.
Initiate appropriate follow-up actions (e.g., ordering additional tests, updating care plans, scheduling follow-up visits).
Process and respond to patient inquiries and prescription refill requests within the scope of NP practice.
Collaborate virtually with the clinical team to ensure timely and appropriate care decisions.
Document assessments and clinical decisions accurately within the EMR.
Identify urgent or complex issues requiring physician review or in-person follow-up.
Qualifications:
Current registration and in good standing as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
Minimum 2 years of experience in primary care or family medicine preferred.
Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently.
Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems (PS Suite EMR experience is an asset).
Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
Reliable access to a secure, private work environment with internet access suitable for remote work.
Work Hours:
Part-time: Approximately 10-15 hours per week to start (flexible schedule).
May increase based on clinic volume and mutual agreement.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience.
