Your Opportunity:

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will perform comprehensive assessments, diagnoses (including ordering and interpretation of test results), interventions (including prescribing medications), management of dialysis access placements in collaboration with surgeons and interventional radiologists, referrals to related specialties as required, evaluation, and follow-up care. This evolving role not only includes guiding and supporting best practices, but has a strong emphasis on multidisciplinary care, multifaceted program requirements, and teamwork. As a part of the nephrology NP team, the position will work to provide coverage as needed to other program NPs providing a variety of care including inpatient nephrology and hemodialysis support. This is a multi-site position including Royal Alexandra Hospital, West Edmonton Kidney Care and University of Alberta Hospital.
