Nuclear Estimator (Bilingual - English/French)



Location: Montreal, Quebec




We are seeking an experienced

Nuclear Estimator

to support the successful delivery of large-scale, technically complex nuclear construction projects. Reporting to the Securement Manager, this role is responsible for leading preconstruction cost management activities and contributing to project success from opportunity development through construction and close-out.


In this role, you will work closely with owners, consultants, project managers, and trade partners to develop accurate cost plans, perform value engineering, and establish project budgets that align with performance, schedule, and profitability targets. You will play a key role in proposal strategy, bid development, and securing new work, supporting market growth initiatives alongside the Regional Management Team.


During preconstruction, you will lead the development of preliminary budgets, milestone cost plans, procurement strategies, labour and equipment forecasts, logistics plans, and risk registers. You will actively participate in constructability reviews, scheduling activities, and pull-planning sessions, ensuring cost certainty and execution readiness before sub-trade tendering. Your expertise will support tender evaluations, risk assessments, and sub-trade awards, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, consultants, and government stakeholders.


Throughout construction, you will monitor cost performance, labour productivity, and forecasting, contributing to Work-in-Progress reporting and ongoing financial controls. Post-construction, you will support contract reconciliation, lessons learned, and project close-out reporting to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications



6+ years of hands-on nuclear estimating experience

, including lump sum, construction management, and design-build delivery Experience estimating

large-scale projects valued at $100M+

Degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering Eligible for or holding

PQS, CET, or P.Eng

designation Strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills Proficiency with estimating software and cost systems

Bilingual in English and French (required)
