Job Description

NTS Ltd. is a technical services company that specializes in the staffing and supply of technical, laboratory and coring services. The company supplies both staffing solutions and total project management of technical services.

NTS Ltd. is currently seeking a positive, energetic individual to fill the position of Coordinator for the Core Department.

Overview

Ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Serves as the key liaison between geoscience teams, and Lab Coordinator. Ensures accurate labeling, preservation, and transport of cores after the analysis for storage.

Supports geological and core handlers' operations by safely handling, processing, and documenting core samples.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and barcoding of samples for traceability.

Supervise clean, cut, and prepare cores for sampling, and laboratory analysis.

Maintain an orderly core processing area. Coordinating with Gateway Mechanical for the maintenance of the saws Coordinating with BM&O office to maintain the core freezer. Coordinating with United rental for Forklift rental. Working with the Mildred Lake Auto shop for forklift maintenance Putting in requests for the dumpster to be emptied. Ordering core supplies using the ARIBA Guided Buying and tracking cost. Any other tasks to support Lab Coordinator.

Required Qualifications

Diploma in Science, Geology, Geoscience, or Earth Sciences. 3-5 years of experience in geological fieldwork, coordination, or resource projects. Proficiency with Digitcore database software Excellent communication and project management skills. Understanding of basic geological principles and core description methods will be an asset.

* Physically capable of lifting core boxes.
