Bayshore HealthCare\xe2\x80\x99s Northern Nursing program has provided high-quality community health relief staffing services to Indigenous and northern communities since 1997. Our Nurses work closely with diverse Indigenous communities (First Nations, Inuit and M\xc3\xa9tis), providing care to community members in Canada\xe2\x80\x99s North. We hire nurses for remote northern communities of British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Yukon, North West Territories and Nunavut.

The work you will do:

\xc2\xb7 Work in a team atmosphere consulting with physicians and the Health Center Charge Nurse

\xc2\xb7 Work within an expanded scope of practice providing healthcare services to pre-natal and adult patients for trauma and primary care, including delivery of newborns, treating minor acute illnesses and injuries, and conducting general treatment clinics

\xc2\xb7 Utilize the skills of observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, counseling, and health teaching according to care plan

\xc2\xb7 Ensure that, on an ongoing basis, the emotional, spiritual, physical comfort and safety of clients are met to the greatest possible extent within the scope of practice

Qualifications

Who You Are:

\xc2\xb7 You are a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and have a nursing license through the governing body in good standing

\xc2\xb7 You have or are willing to obtain a nursing license through the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM)

\xc2\xb7 You have 3,000 hours of Regular Work experience, in the past five (5) years working in Remote, Isolated and/or Semi-Isolated communities

OR

3,000 hours of Regular Work experience, in the past three (3) years performing nursing services in primary care and advanced clinical assessments. This experience must be obtained in the emergency, intensive care unit or in community settings such as health care centres (e.g. urgent care centre, quick care centre).
