JOB OVERVIEW
As a Non-Destructive Testing Technician, you will be responsible for performing and interpreting non-destructive tests on aircraft engine components to ensure structural integrity and compliance with OEM, customer, and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with the Component Repair, Propulsion, Quality, and Engineering teams to support safe, high-quality and efficient engine maintenance operations.
Responsibilities:Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) on aircraft engine components using approved techniques and procedures in accordance with OEM, customer, and regulatory standards
Set up, operate, and adjust NDT equipment for methods such as Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI), Eddy Current Inspection (ECI), Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and/or the robotic versions of these methods
Interpret indications, evaluate results against applicable standards/criteria, and determine acceptance or rejection of parts.
Prepare clear, accurate NDT reports and document all work performed in the appropriate systems and records.
Ensure traceability and proper identification of inspected parts, including tagging, routing, and segregation of non-conforming material.
Support investigations of defects, non-conformances, and quality issues, providing NDT expertise to Production and Engineering.
Perform daily/periodic checks and basic maintenance of NDT equipment; report any issues that may affect test reliability.
Follow all safety, ESH and contamination-control procedures when handling chemicals, materials, and equipment.
Participate in continuous improvement activities (5S, Lean, Kaizen) to optimize inspection flow, reduce rework, and improve turnaround time.
May have to transport parts, components or modules from one workstation or one center to another
May be required to work in another category.
Qualifications:Minimum 3 years of relevant NDT experience in aerospace, preferably on gas turbine engine components.
Recognized certification (e.g., CGSB, NAS-410/EN4179 equivalent) in the applicable NDT methods.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, OEM repair manuals, specifications, and work instructions.
Strong attention to detail, rigor, and organization in a highly regulated environment.
Autonomous and able to work with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with production, quality, and engineering teams.
Ability to read and understand instructions in English
Education (preferred):
Vocational diploma (DEP, ASP, DEC) in a relevant field such as aeronautical structures, aircraft maintenance, materials/inspection technologies, or equivalent experience
