We are looking to welcome Nightshift Warehouse Operatives to our fantastic and ever-growing in-store Logistics team based at our Lakeside store.

In the IKEA world, we call these positions Goods Flow and Replenishment Co-Workers.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • IKEA is a Living Wage Employer, with the current hourly rate being 10.10, and this will increase to 10.90 effective 01 January 2023.
  • Nightshift allowance of 2.25 an hour in addition to hourly rate.
  • 30 hours a week working 3 in 4 weekends and 5 days in 7.
  • Ordinary start times for Goods Flow will be around 00:00am, and for Replenishment around 02:00am. Ordinary finishing times will be around 10:00am.
  • Flexibility on availability to be discussed during interviews.
  • We offer permanent contracts, advanced scheduling and regular weekends off.
Due to Health & Safety regulations, applicants must be over the age of 18.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
You care about making a positive impact in the world. We are looking for proactive and energetic individuals, who are not afraid to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. We are on the lookout for someone who has great communication skills, attention to detail and enables a successful shopping experience for our customers by ensuring that our products are in the right place at the right time.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

GOODS FLOW (EARLY MORNINGS)
  • Focusing on order parameters, product ordering and availability checks to ensure that sufficient stock is available to meet customer needs.
  • Securing and maintaining the availability of products and taking actions together with your colleagues to minimise the impact of availability issues on our customers.
  • Working with your manager to address any adjustment needs to the sales department.
  • Maximising the efficiency of the goods flow by ensuring the operational forecasting in the store is in line with order parameters and available sales space capacities.
  • This is a physically demanding job that involves manual handling in a fast-paced environment.
REPLENISHMENT (EARLY MORNINGS)
  • You will be responsible to merchandise the shop floor ready for store opening.
  • You will work with our internal systems to ensure that customers have accurate and full stock availability at all times.
  • You will ensure a safe working environment for yourself, your co-workers, and our customers.
  • We are looking for someone who has good IT skills and a customer service mindset.
  • You should have a passion for home furnishings, ambition to grow within IKEA and to help develop others too.
  • This is a physically demanding job that involves manual handling in a fast-paced environment.
