We are looking for a vigilant and responsible Security Guard to join our team! As a Security Guard at our metal recycling facility, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our premises, employees, visitors, and valuable assets.

Competitive wage starting at $20/hr

1 Night Officer - 6:30pm - 6:30am (12 hour shifts), rotating nights every two weeks

Responsibilities:

• Conducting routine patrols of the premises by car or foot to ensure the safety and security of the property
• Responding to fires, medical emergencies, bomb threats, floods, water leaks, presence of hazardous materials, and more
• Monitoring surveillance cameras and alarms and promptly responding to incidents
• Interacting professionally with employees, visitors, and clients
• Enforcing access control procedures, including locking and unlocking doors and/or gates
• Writing clear and concise incident reports
• Providing assistance during emergencies or evacuations
• Collaborating with local law enforcement when necessary
• Maintaining a high level of alertness and professionalism at all times

• Proven experience working as a Security Guard
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
• Strong attention to detail and observant
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Physical fitness and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods, including the ability to climb four flights of stairs
• Experience with CCTV footage is an asset

• Valid Security Guard License
• Valid G Drivers\' License
• Trained in First Aid (Basic Life Support)
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
• Security Clearance Certification
