If yes -- we've got the perfect job for you! The Saintlo Ottawa Jail Hostel is looking for a Night Auditor to join our friendly and passionate team.

YOUR WORKPLACE

This isn't your typical front desk job -- you'll get to say you work in a 150-year-old former jail that's now one of Ottawa's most unique hostels! Travellers can still sleep in the original jail cells (with added comfort, don't worry!), making their stay a one-of-a-kind experience.

YOUR ROLE

As the first friendly face travellers meet at night, you'll make them feel at home from the moment they arrive. You'll be their go-to person for tips about Ottawa, ensuring their stay is memorable and stress-free. And yes, sometimes you'll need to flex your problem-solving skills to handle little surprises that may pop up.

MORE SPECIFICALLY, YOU WILL:

Keep the front desk and common areas tidy and inviting. Lend a hand with light housekeeping tasks (bed checks, kitchen clean-up, laundry, etc.). Welcome guests, process check-ins, check-outs, and take reservations (in person, by phone, email, or online). Handle payments and daily cash reports with accuracy. Share your best insider tips on what's happening in Ottawa -- events, attractions, hidden gems. Follow procedures in case of incidents to ensure safety and comfort for everyone.

YOU'RE THE PERFECT FIT IF YOU HAVE:

Experience in customer service, retail, or hospitality. Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends. A friendly and approachable personality, with problem-solving skills. Comfort with computer programs (Outlook, Excel, Word). Experience with Property Management Systems (Cloudbeds is a plus!). Bilingualism in English and French (an asset, but not mandatory).

Permanent full-time role. Competitive pay: $17.51/hour + $3/hour night premium. 11 statutory holidays. Free or discounted stays at Saintlo hostels. Pension plan with employer contribution (5%).
