Key Responsibilities
The Relief Night Auditor / Front Desk Agent plays a key role at Rosemead House, serving as the acting Manager on Duty during night shifts and overseeing the entire operations of the property. This position involves close collaboration with departments such as F&B and Housekeeping. The Relief Night Auditor / Front Desk Agent reports directly to Director of Rooms and work closely with the Night Manager.
Perform end-of-day accounting procedures, including balancing revenue and expense transactions.
Audit daily transactions, room charges, and guest accounts for accuracy.
Prepare and distribute daily reports such as the daily revenue report and occupancy report.
Communicate effectively with the night manager regarding night auditing related items.
Monitor the property's security cameras and perform security checks.
Respond to emergency situations and follow established procedures.
Complete night audit checklist tasks, ensuring all duties are performed accurately.
Assist with preparing for the next day's arrivals and departures.
Collaborate with the front desk team to ensure a smooth transition between shifts.
Acting as MOD for the Night
Assist them with bags if needed if the bellman is unavailable.
Welcome guests who check in and out of the hotel using the reservation system.
Being knowledgeable on information for guests about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services.
Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.
Multi-tasking on many different tasks at once, whilst making sure you are optimal while utilizing time management.
Answer phone calls and emails and assist with reservations and inquiries.
Process payments and maintain accurate records of guest transactions.
Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
Assist with other duties as assigned by Director of Rooms and the Night Manager.
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum 1 year of Customer Service experience is preferred and previous experience in the Front Office a bonus.
Exceptional organizational and time-management proficiencies along with time management skills are required.
Ability to handle pressure under emergency situations and demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving capabilities
Standing and walking for long periods of time, lifting luggage, bags, boxes, heavy items up to 50 Lbs and must be able to push/pull up to 100 lbs. and lift/carry up to 20lbs multiple times a day
Meticulous attention to detail and a dedication to delivering top-tier service.
Strong communication abilities with guests, staff, and senior management.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a hospitality environment.
Education in hospitality management is an asset.
