Pattison Media has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, talented and team-oriented News Director/Morning Co-host looking to advance their career in broadcasting. Based in Brandon, MB, the successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

News responsibilities

Lead production of news content for web and radio to enhance the competitive position for two radio stations. Ensure a consistent experience for listeners. Good storyteller, in short form. Write morning news for both 94-7 STAR and Q Country 91.5 Write and voice AG reports. Balancing diverse needs of our audience and regional landscape. Being highly involved in the community in a news capacity or as a company representative. Daily news reporting and anchoring.

Co-Host responsibilities

Regular on-air shifts, Monday to Friday Morning on 94-7 STAR Preparing, planning, and executing morning show, with host. Including researching and conducting interviews. Must be available for remote broadcasts and station appearances. Daily contributions to digital platforms including website and various social media required.

Qualifications:

Familiarity with journalistic practices and principles, codes of conduct and legal requirements. Degree or diploma from a recognized broadcast school. Minimum 2 years of newsroom experience. A valid driver's license. Passion for news. Strong on-air presence and writing skills, for on-air and web. Strong knowledge of Burli & Wide Orbit Likes to have fun in the halls.
