A Different Path for New Nurses
Just finished nursing school, but not quite sure if you want to head straight into bedside care? You're not alone -- and you're not out of options.
We're an early-stage tech startup helping families navigate the messy, emotional world of in-home care. We work with clients who are managing dementia, mobility loss, stroke recovery, and more -- and while we don't provide clinical services ourselves, we do help families make smart care decisions, navigate complex needs, and communicate effectively with caregivers.
That's where you come in. This is a
non-clinical role
that still puts your nursing education to work: problem-solving, advocating, guiding, and supporting people during major life transitions. Think of it as care coordination meets customer success -- without scrubs, but with just as much heart.
About the Role
You'll talk to families every day -- by phone, text, and Intercom -- answering questions, guiding decisions, and helping them feel calm, confident, and cared for. Some days you'll be speaking with new leads who are trying to figure out where to start. Other days, you'll be supporting long-time clients navigating a sudden change.
You won't be doing physical care. But you will be:
Interpreting symptoms and care needs
Helping match clients with appropriate caregivers
Explaining care plans, routines, and protocols
Flagging red flags and anticipating future needs
Acting as the go-to support person for families and caregivers alike
This is a great role for someone who loves people, wants to work in a fast-moving environment, and is excited by the idea of using their nursing knowledge in a different -- but deeply meaningful -- way.
What You'll Be Doing
Responding to inbound leads via Intercom, phone, and text
Helping families understand our services and what kind of care they need
Onboarding new clients and walking them through what to expect
Monitoring ongoing care relationships and stepping in when things get complicated
Supporting caregivers with context, documentation, and communication
Managing a high volume of moving pieces without dropping the ball
Identifying when additional support or intervention might be needed
Keeping track of key updates, next steps, and action items
What You'll Learn
This is a crash course in health operations, care navigation, and customer communication. You'll build real-world skills in:
Client-facing communication and empathy
Conflict resolution and boundary-setting
Startup operations and cross-functional teamwork
Non-clinical advocacy and care planning
Sales, account management, and customer success strategy

About the Team
We're a small, tight-knit crew based in Ottawa, building something meaningful from the ground up. You'll work side-by-side with the founders, the ops team, and the people building the product -- not stuck in some back office or siloed off in a department.
Everyone here wears multiple hats. Everyone talks to customers. Everyone cares about doing right by the people who depend on us.
A Real Talk Disclaimer
This isn't a chill desk job. It's fast, messy, and demanding -- you'll need to stay sharp, adapt quickly, and communicate with confidence. But if you're great at what you do, you'll have real ownership, serious impact, and a direct path to growth. It's a startup -- the ceiling is what you make it.
