Osler's partnership with the New Graduate Guarantee will offer you the opportunity to work in a clinical unit as a part of the nursing team according to the standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario and Osler. You will be provided with an orientation that will provide you with the needed education and skills certification for the clinical area.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement nursing care plans for your patients and their families, report on patient progress and work collaboratively with the health care team. The knowledge and skills you have obtained and practiced during your clinical experiences as a student will be applied to your practice as a New Graduate Nurse to support the delivery of excellence in patient-focused care at Osler.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario, if temporary license, candidate will be asked to provide date of NCLEX
Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking comprehension)
Consolidation and/or externship on the Mental Health Department
Ability to function as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Obtain the Management of Aggressive Behavior certificate within six months of hired
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Basic Cardiac Life Support
Ability to set priorities
Motivated, positive and respecting of others
Quality oriented, patient-focused caregiver
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication (oral and written), problem-solving, conflict-resolution and decision-making skills required
Critical thinking and organizational skills required
Must demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation, and Collaboration
May be required to travel between and work at all Osler sites
Additional Information
Hours: Currently days/evenings, eight hour shifts with weekends and holidays as per collective agreement (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)

Minimum: $39.07 per hour
Maximum: $56.00 per hour
