New Development Coordinator Co-op

- Markham, Ontario


Our Development team is looking for a Development Coordinator Co-op to assist in project coordination, permit applications, and documentation across multiple projects in various stages of development while gaining hand-on experience in planning and real estate development. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the team and contribute and reporting directly to the Development Manager.

What you will do:

Support development team in coordination and of applications for zoning, site plan, subdivision, and building permit Assist in preparation and organization of, Requests for Proposals (RFP's) from consultant teams and help compare proposals. Participate in meetings with municipalities, stakeholders, and consultants. Organize and maintain meeting minutes regularly. Assist the project team in project research as it relates to feasibility studies, market insight, due diligence on new acquisitions. Assist and organize for the project team in coordinating meetings including logistics and document preparation. Assist with tracking budgets and monthly monitoring and tracking of consultant invoices. Maintain digital project files, of permits, drawings, contracts and reports according to established filing system. Track available grants at the municipal and federal level and assist in the preparation of grant applications.

Who we're looking for:

Currently enrolled in a program in Urban Planning, Real Estate Management, Architecture or related discipline. Familiarity with financial modelling and inclusionary zoning is an asset. Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Collaborative, solutions oriented and self-motivated. Superior communication skills, both written and verbal. Periodic travel to sites as required. Must hold a valid Class G driver's license with no restrictions. High degree of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
