Network Analyst

Job Description

Brandt is seeking a Network Analyst to join our IT/IS team in Regina, Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting existing network devices and circuits. They will provide input on new technology and be a key player in the design and deployment of chosen initiatives. They will stay abreast of new technologies and practices related to network and security disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support existing infrastructure including data center, cloud, and branch networks, corporate Wi-Fi, VOIP systems, enterprise firewall, etc.
  • Site-based work installing or supporting network hardware.
  • Work with vendors to identify opportunities and recommend solutions for improving the overall network performance and stability.
  • Identify opportunities and establish policies to ensure the security of the corporate network.
  • Provide advanced network support to the service desk team.
  • Mentor and coach peers.
  • Some travel will be required.
Required Skills

Required Experience
  • 3+ years experience in a dedicated network support role.
  • Relevant Post-Secondary Degree, College Diploma.
  • Knowledge and experience with the following network elements: IP Subnetting, TCP/IP, DNS, IP trunking, NAT, VLAN, routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP), enterprise wireless solutions, VOIP, VPN Tunnels, load balancing, network performance monitoring tools, etc.
  • Strong problem solver that adheres to best practice solutions.
  • Capacity to work autonomously with limited supervision.
  • Concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience creating and updating network diagrams and documentation
  • Can adapt to and remain calm in all situations.
Candidates with technical knowledge or experience in the following areas will be preferred:
  • Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCNA), Fortinet (NSE), Azure or other applicable industry certifications.
  • Cisco products such as ISR routers, Catalyst and Nexus switches, and UCS.
  • Fortinet or Palo Alto firewall products.
  • Azure networking.
  • Corporate wireless solutions.
  • Network access control solutions
  • Data center network architecture and equipment.
  • Web access firewalls
  • QOS configuration relevant to VOIP
  • 3+ years experience in a dedicated network support role.
