GeoVerra is seeking to fill Natural Resource Professional positions to support our Geomatics team, located in our Edmonton location.
As a Natural Resource Professional in our Forestry & Environment team, you will play an integral role in our growing operation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist on a range of planning & operations-oriented projects in the office and field
  • Regulatory applications, permitting, First Nation Consultation
  • Liaising with stakeholders, regulators, partners, and landowners
  • Stakeholder agreements and consultation
  • Technical writing, regulatory applications, and report preparation
  • GIS data creation, attributing, and mapping
Qualifications:
  • Field experience in wildlife sweeps, surveys, watercourse, and wetland assessment,
  • Familiarity with Public Lands Act, Water Act, Wildlife Act, AEP and AER applications an asset
  • Preferred experience in stakeholder engagement, third party agreements, First Nation Consultation ACO process
  • 2+ years experience performing field work safely and efficiently throughout Alberta
  • Professional Designation in Alberta or Eligibility as RPF, RPFT, P.Biol, or P. Ag.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with a strong work ethic and a drive to exceed expectations
  • Collaborative attitude, ability to excel in a team and independent environment
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction through problem solving, critical thinking and decision making
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
  • Superior attention to detail to produce professional deliverables & documentation
  • Technical, mathematical, scientific, and computer skills including Microsoft office products, ESRI GIS, & GPS
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as per the limits provided in the Canadian Model for Providing a Safe Workplace
