Job Description


GeoVerra is currently seeking to fill Natural Resource Professional positions to support our Geomatics team, located in our Edmonton or Grande Prairie locations. You + GeoVerra As a Natural Resource Professional in our Forestry & Environment team, you will play an integral role in our growing operation.

  • Assist on a range of planning & operations-oriented projects in the office and field
  • Scout and assess sites for timber volumes for utility, & forestry clients in Alberta
  • Hazard tree assessments and salvage planning on utility lines in Alberta
  • Stakeholder agreements & consenting
  • Technical writing and report preparation
  • GIS data creation, attributing, and mapping
Qualifications: Natural Resource Professional:
  • 2-5 years experience performing field work safely and efficiently throughout Alberta, BC, or N. Ontario
  • Forestry field experience, planning and layout preferred
  • Field and regulatory experience in wildlife, watercourses, wetlands, and Public Lands Act an asset
  • Professional Designation or Eligibility in Alberta for RPF or RPFT
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with a strong work ethic and a drive to exceed expectations
  • Collaborative attitude, ability to excel in a team and independent environment
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction through problem solving, critical thinking and decision making
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
  • Superior attention to detail to produce professional deliverables & documentation
  • Technical, mathematical, scientific, and computer skills including Microsoft office products, ESRI ArcGIS, & field GPS
Natural Resource Professional (field):
