Role:

This role’s primary responsibility is to manage the relationship with the Region/ Sites and the customer to increase National sales, service, and profitability for Sysco’s Canadian operations while handling multiple duties in an expedient, courteous, and professional manner.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day business processes between National Customers and the Regional Account Executives, ensuring service levels are maintained and reported correctly.
  • Handle any issues that may arise from both the Site perspective and the customer’s perspective.
  • Gather necessary information and analyze to ensure profitability of National Accounts and supporting the Vice President, National Accounts (VPNA).
  • Prepare and support Business Reviews on a regular basis in all accounts with the proper front-end analysis conducted and design new account presentations covering the key benefits of a customer of Sysco and the value added associated with Sysco
  • Assist in creating business plans after the review has been completed in order to increase profitability and case growth
  • Effectively meeting customer needs; building productive customer relationships; taking responsibility for customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Liaise with vendors in order to maintain strong working relationships, work through contracts, and fill rates, product options
  • Coordinate culinary product presentations for customers.
  • Conducting conference calls with Regional Account Executives and customers.
  • Coordinate new listings for new product requirements, new menus, and promotions
  • Populating SPS Activity including customer contacts, profiles, and notes
  • Fully utilize internal CRM tools (including 360) to manage contacts and track opportunities and results
  • Responsible for compliance with all Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) comprising Sysco’s Food Safety Program, specific for the assigned role.
  • Assist Food Safety Program Manager in ensuring compliance to Sysco’s Food Safety Program that leads to compliance with third party certification and customer requirements.
  • Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
  • Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:
  • Minimum two (2+) years job related experience within a sales or marketing role.
  • University or College business administration degree preferred or related experience
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, AS400 etc.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing with access to a vehicle is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels.
  • Excellent time management, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Must be detail oriented, business minded, and able to probe into information to get results.
  • Demonstrated sales growth and success with a customer and business focused approach.
  • Understanding & application of key selling skills concepts, principles and applications.
  • Excellent relationship management experience, time manager, business acumen, initiative, and desire to succeed are required.
  • Some travel is required (approximately 10%).
