POSITION OVERVIEW

Responsible for managing all aspects of the retailer relationships to ensure sales, shipment and return budgets are achieved.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Account Planning and Management
  • Convey sales plans to retailer partners to plan/negotiate shipments and returns to ensure budgets are achieved (monthly, quarterly, semiannually, and annually).
  • Partner with VP of Sales/RSD to build by door sales plans seasonally tying back to both seasonal/bridge/ranking objectives.
  • Consistently work with retailers to discuss and align on all aspects of sales, sell-in and returns, adapting strategies when needed.
  • Negotiate and develop the comprehensive semi-annual account plans and seasonal promotional calendars (including co-op media, selling specialists, space & location, new doors, door closures, events, instore visuals, etc.) shared with both the retailer and field teams.
  • Create innovative new sales strategies that create shipments with minimal return risk.
  • Working with account Planners, ensure constant and consistent communication to appropriate partners (Marketing, PR, Merchandising, Education, Sales Admin) and then convey to the field.
  • Maintain regular reporting of retail performance, ranking, market trends etc. for review with VP of Sales.
  • Development of retailer business review presentations when required.
  • Liaise with U.S. counterparts to ensure North American program maximization, i.e., Nordstrom & Sephora Planners, U.S. KAMs.
  • Collaborate with field to ensure account plans are inclusive of field feedback and are successfully executed.
Shipments & Returns
  • Ensure shipment targets are achieved by working with retailers, Planners, and Sales Admin team.
  • Collaborate with Marketing/Sales Planning to determine the retail and non-retail allocations by retailer/door.
  • Review launch allocations with Buyers (before forecasting if appropriate) to ensure shipments are equivalent to sales expectations.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Merchandising teams to develop and allocate product launches, event requirements, tester and sample allocations.
  • Maintain close contact with Planning & Sales Development teams to track product flows and retailer shipments for regular review.
  • Maintain awareness of inventory in Cranbury warehouse and Accuristix to identify shipment liabilities and opportunities, i.e., cuts for possible re-order.
  • Manage, negotiate, and track returns ensuring that budgets are respected.
  • Work closely with Marketing for additional TOA/Sample allocations to drive retail.
  • Anticipate returns to maximize viable TOA/tester allocations, i.e., recovered testers, minis from sets, etc. and allocate accordingly.
  • Conduct all other job-related activities.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of account management or planning experience in the luxury beauty industry
  • Experience developing account plans and strategies, planning and execution of retail events and programs to drive sell-through and sell-in
  • Strong understanding of operating practices of key Department Store and Specialty retailers
  • Travel required per business needs (New York corporate office and other locations)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical capabilities
  • Able to network and build relationships, both internal (i.e., Marketing, Merchandising, PR, RSD, Account Executives, U.S. Planners) and external with retailers
  • Fluency or working knowledge of French is preferred
  • Deals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment

LVMH Inc. uses the published salary range as a guideline to provide our employees with market competitive pay while allowing for flexibility to recognize and reward various levels of expertise, performance and tenure.

While the published salary range is a good faith reflection of the targeted salary level for the position, LVMH Inc. reserves the right to pay outside of the published salary range of $115-145k.
