Now open on the Halifax waterfront in the new Queen's Marque district, Mystic explores the natural landscape of Canada with a focus on our Maritime provinces. Here, our Chefs are passionate about showcasing the region's most exceptional fish, flora and fauna curating an authentic expression of time and place.







We're currently seeking a sharp, organized, and detailed Expediter to help bridge the gap between our kitchen and front-of-house teams and play a crucial role in ensuring food quality, accuracy, timing and a smooth flow of the restaurant.



What you will be doing:



ensuring orders are presented properly and in a timely manner to all guests; communicating with the back-of-house staff, with attention to special requests, preferences, aversions, and allergies; inspecting dishes for presentation, temperature, and completeness before they leave the kitchen; supporting team members and assist in problem-solving during busy service periods; being familiar with the menu, preparation times for each course, and being able to "fire" courses at the right time to create a steady flow and limit waiting times; maintaining strong knowledge of table and seat numbers to ensure that food is being delivered to the right guests; similar duties as assigned.

The person we are looking for has:



previous experience in a luxury or fine dining restaurant (required) a high attention to detail the ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure in a fast-paced environment strong communication and organizational skills the ability to stand for extended periods of time (up to 8+ hours) a diploma/degree in Hospitality Management or similar is considered an asset.
