The District of West Vancouver Community Services Department is accepting applications for Music
Instructors to lead our group music lessons, for preschool age, school age children and/or adults, to share musical time together. These include, but are not limited to: Explorations of different instruments such as piano, violin, drums, and percussions as well as singing. The lessons will be based out of the West Vancouver Community Centre and/or the Gleneagles Community Centre. Evening and weekend hours may be required for this position.
The successful candidates will have professional training in music, substantial experience as instructors with their respective instruments, knowledge of community recreation philosophies and instruction techniques, and experience working with children and adults. Desirable qualifications include a university degree in music or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
All applicants must provide a cover letter, resume, and a sample lesson plan for each class or program to be taught.
The successful candidate is required to supply a police information check with vulnerable sector and a copy of their credentials.

Days and hours of work may vary.

Starting Rate of Pay:



$35.00 per hour plus 4% in lieu of benefits. This position offers a competitive wage based on experience and qualifications.
