Company Bio: AF Mushrooms is an agri-food venture focused on growing exotic species of mushrooms for the culinary and nutraceutical industries. We have facilities near Edmonton, Strathmore, and Crossfield, AB, capable of producing various oyster species and Lion's Mane.AF Mushroom Inc. seeks ambitious team players at our mushroom production facility near Strathmore, AB. We are looking for people who thrive in a fast-paced and flexible environment and are willing to roll up their sleeves in the company's mushroom operations.The successful candidate will be a positive and reliable member of our team. They will take pride in professionalism, continuous improvement and their ability to work through challenges.: The successful candidate will undertake the following responsibilities and duties:

• Strict adherence to food safety, health and safety policies
• Assist with bagging, pasteurization, and inoculation of mushroom blocks
• Maintaining the facilities for cleanliness and hygiene
• Coordinate shipping of blocks to grow-out facilities
• Contribute to the construction of the company's expansions around Alberta
• Optimize production processes/process improvement strategies
• Responsible for effectively communicating with team and site leaders
• Work with teams from other sites to assist with implementing SOPs and R&D
• Other activities consistent with the role and title as may be prescribed from time to time

Skills & Qualifications: The successful applicant must have the following qualifications and skills:

• Studying in the field of Mycology, Botany, Horticulture, or Biology an asset
• Experience in cropping, growing, and farming an asset
• Fluency in English, oral and written
• Hands-on experience with tools and equipment is an asset
• Critical thinking skills and self-motivated
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload
• Shipping/receiving experience an asset
• Ability to lift loads of up to 50 lb
• Valid Alberta Driver's license or ability to obtain
• MUST BE a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person to whom refugee protection has been conferred and legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
