Municipal Worker 1 - Golf Course Maintenance \xe2\x80\x93 Summer Student
(1 Position Available) Term of Employment: Full-Time, Summer Term (July 2, 2024 \xe2\x80\x93 August 23, 2024)
Rate of Pay: Student Wage Band: $17.35 per hour
(Subject to CUPE 1015 Agreement)
Location: Lloydminster Golf and Curling Centre
Duties: The Municipal Worker 1 performs a variety of parks and open-space maintenance, including all activities associated with turf, tree, flower and shrub bed maintenance, throughout the City of Lloydminster, in a safe and efficient manner. Duties may also include the care of sports fields, playgrounds, and other city amenities. The Municipal Worker 1 will participate in the City of Lloydminster\xe2\x80\x99s Safety Management System. Other relevant duties may be assigned as required.
Schedule: Normal working hours are Monday to Friday and shifts will vary between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with the occasional requirement to work outside these hours. Weekend work is required, and shifts will vary between the hours of 5:00 a.m. \xe2\x80\x93 10:00 a.m.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 Vehicle Operator\xe2\x80\x99s License (registered in Alberta or Saskatchewan) with a clear driver\xe2\x80\x99s abstract.
• Must be in good physical condition.
• Previous experience operating riding lawnmowers, push lawnmowers and string trimmers will be considered an asset.
• The ability to lift up to 25 kg (50 lbs).
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• This position is contingent on receiving a satisfactory criminal record check prior to start date.

Special Instructions: Applicants must be returning to school in the subsequent academic year. Verification of student status will be required.
