Auto Service Franchise, Burlington North is looking for an Exhaust/ Muffler & Automotive Service Technician!

The Automotive Service Technician will be supporting in all aspects of the Service Operations. He will be performing vehicle maintenance and repairs as assigned as well as examine vehicles to determine what work is required.

A day in the life of an Automotive Technician ,

Perform Muffler Repairs Good Experience in Gas welding, mig welding, etc Experience in pipe bending Experience in Exhausts, Mufflers, Manifolds, Catalytic convertors diagnosis, installation, repairs, customization Perform Brake Repairs , changes, Maintenance Perform general Auto Repairs Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs as assigned Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required Complete reports to record problems and work performed. Complete work orders and reports on schedule Assist in the general upkeep and maintenance of the service center Our ideal candidate: Experience as Automotive Service Technician, an asset Valid G License with a clean driving record Willing to learn more as a part of further personal development

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience in diagnosing and resolving vehicle issues efficiently. This role requires a commitment to providing exceptional service to our customers while ensuring the highest standards of quality in all repairs.

Duties



Perform comprehensive automotive diagnostics to identify issues and recommend appropriate repairs. Conduct routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections. Repair and replace automotive electrical systems, powertrains, and mechanical components. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various repair tasks. Work with schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive systems. Execute alignment services to ensure proper vehicle handling and safety. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair needs and recommendations clearly. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members on larger repair projects, including diesel engine repairs and auto body work when necessary. Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and GM vehicles.

Requirements



Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic with a strong mechanical knowledge base. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools and techniques. Previous dealership experience is preferred but not required. Proficiency in working with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Ability to understand schematics related to automotive electrical systems and mechanical components. Experience in vehicle maintenance, alignment, powertrain repairs, and diesel engine repair is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work performed. Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients regarding their vehicle needs. A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to automotive repair are a plus.

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
