The Basics

• This is a full-time position. We will show preference for candidates that are located in the Greater Toronto Area and available to work in-office as needed.
• Work hours are flexible, but meetings are typically scheduled between 9 am and 6 pm Eastern Standard Time.

In this role, we\'ll expect you to:

• Develop and maintain DSP methods and software for our benchtop MRI system.
• Develop advanced non-cartesian K-space sampling acquisitions.
• Develop undersampled K-space reconstruction techniques, such as compressed sensing and neural networks.
• Develop and optimize MRI pulse sequences.
• Develop 3D MRI field mapping techniques and implement automatic shimming algorithms.
• Interface with scientists and engineers, ensuring MRI data and software meet department-specific needs.

You might be right for this role if you have:

• Proficiency in writing efficient, clean, and documented code in MATLAB and Python.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing both uniform and non-uniform K-space sampling and reconstruction techniques in a research or industry setting.
• Ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a non-technical audience, including high-level stakeholders.
• Openness to learning from subject matter experts from other disciplines.
• Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, medical physics, computer science, or related scientific field.
