Key Job responsibilities:
As part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, your skills in calculation and analysis will be called upon to support the aircraft
programs in the capacity of static, fatigue, and damage tolerance stress specialist.
You will review, make recommendations, and provide final MRB (Material Review Board) stress approvals of reworks and repairs on defects produced during final assembly line, such as:
Recommendations and justifications on acceptance of defects without repair.
Removal and replacement of damaged parts.
Rework acceptance will be based on equivalent strength capability, equivalent account stress levels and
environmental conditions.
The technical solutions are established for metallic and composite structures.
In your role, you will:
Work in close collaboration with Liaison Engineers by providing timely stress substantiations to a variety of
manufacturing and assembly issues.
Engage with Stress engineering teams to resolve key technical issues.
Support the delivery process by providing technical expertise to delivery teams and external customers.
Exchange information and collaborate with other FAL sites to ensure sharing of technical knowledge.
Document analyses on stress work files.
Success Requirements
- As our ideal candidate:
You have a bachelor's degree in aeronautical or mechanical engineering as well as a minimum our (4) years of relevant
experience.
You have Material Review Board (MRB) or MAP experience in commercial / business aircrafts and / or previous MRB delegation is an asset.
You have experience in static, fatigue, damage tolerance analysis and finite element analysis (Damage tolerance is nice to have)
You have a good command of composite materials (nice to have)
You have experience in office design (design or stress) of aircrafts structures (Airframe.
You have knowledge of stress calculations / justifications. Must be proficient in MSOffice.
You have knowledge of aeronautical used materials.
You are able to work autonomously and be a good team player.
You have a good command of English language (written and spoken). Being completely bilingual (French and English) is an asset.

Responsabilites cles du poste :
En tant que membre d'une equipe d'ingenierie multidisciplinaire, vos competences en calcul et en analyse seront mises a contribution pour soutenir les programmes aeronautiques en tant que specialiste des contraintes statiques, de la fatigue et de la tolerance aux dommages.
Vous serez responsable de l'examen, des recommandations et de l'approbation finale des contraintes MRB (Material Review Board) pour les retouches et reparations de defauts survenus durant l'assemblage final, notamment :
Recommandations et justifications pour l'acceptation de defauts sans reparation.
Retrait et remplacement de pieces endommagees.
L'acceptation des retouches sera basee sur la capacite de resistance equivalente, les niveaux de contraintes equivalents et les conditions environnementales.
Les solutions techniques sont etablies pour les structures metalliques et composites.
Dans votre role, vous devrez :
Travailler en etroite collaboration avec les ingenieurs de liaison en fournissant rapidement des justifications de contraintes pour divers problemes de fabrication et d'assemblage.
Collaborer avec les equipes d'ingenierie des contraintes pour resoudre les problemes techniques majeurs.
Soutenir le processus de livraison en apportant une expertise technique aux equipes de livraison et aux clients externes.
Echanger des informations et collaborer avec les autres sites d'assemblage final (FAL) pour assurer le partage des connaissances techniques.
Documenter les analyses dans les dossiers de travail sur les contraintes.
Exigences de reussite - Profil ideal :
Vous detenez un baccalaureat en genie aeronautique ou mecanique ainsi qu'un minimum de quatre (4) annees d'experience pertinente.
Vous avez de l'experience MRB ou MAP dans les avions commerciaux ou d'affaires, et/ou une delegation MRB anterieure est un atout.
Vous avez de l'experience en analyse statique, fatigue, tolerance aux dommages et analyse par elements finis (la tolerance aux dommages est un atout).
Vous maitrisez bien les materiaux composites (atout).
Vous avez de l'experience en conception de bureau (conception ou contraintes) de structures d'avions (fuselage).
Vous avez des connaissances en calculs de contraintes / justifications. Maitrise de MS Office requise.
Vous avez des connaissances sur les materiaux utilises en aeronautique.
Vous etes capable de travailler de facon autonome et etes un bon joueur d'equipe.
Vous maitrisez bien l'anglais (ecrit et parle). Etre parfaitement bilingue (francais et anglais) est un atout.
