Overview

We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team in a vibrant restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to manage reservations and seating efficiently.

Duties

Greet guests warmly as they enter the restaurant and provide them with an engaging first impression. Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while ensuring guest comfort. Assist guests with inquiries about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area and dining room. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow. Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed. Address guest concerns promptly and effectively, ensuring a positive dining experience.

Skills

Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction. Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members. Familiarity with POS systems to assist in managing orders and reservations is a plus. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Knowledge of phone etiquette to handle inquiries professionally.
