Job Description

Looking for a handyman to do maintenance and repair work at a small motel. Work will be mostly in the rooms, as well as occasionally outside and in common and office areas

Candidates must be well-skilled in plumbing, electrical, and construction work. Examples of duties and projects include:

-Fixing and replacing sinks, toilets, and showers as well as basic maintenance like replacin silicone caulking
-Unclogging plumbing, including deep clogs that may require changing pipes within the wall
-Installing and replacing sockets and wiring in the rooms
-PTAC unit maintenance, repair, and installation
-Fixing and patching holes and leaks in the walls and ceiling, replacing doors, removing and installing new drywall, painting, and other basic repairs
-Maintaining and doing basic repairs on refrigerators, phones, washer and dryer, and other electronics

The focus will be on fixing problems as they arise and performing bigger repairs when rooms are empty, with extra basic maintenance throughout the week. The ideal candidate will have experience in multiunit property maintenance (hotel, apartment, retirement home, etc.), and will have their own tools. Occasionally you may be asked to respond to an emegency outside of regular work hours

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
