: Process Engineering & Maintenance Lead



The Process Engineering & Maintenance Lead requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills and experience in manufacturing and maintenance, ideally with a background in agriculture. This position takes care of all buildings, equipment, machinery and vehicles at the Canborough site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



Maintenance

:

- Hands on working leader completing maintenance activities.

- Handling emergencies and interfacing with outside services.

- Troubleshooting and repairs of all facilities and equipment, machinery and vehicles

- Investigating all critical failures to recommend improvements as required.

- Ensuring all maintenance work is carried out following Minor Bros and industry standards and regulations.

This position has on call requirements, and is first responder for any equipment or facility alarms during off hours.

- Execution and development of the preventive maintenance program.

- Maintain budgets for repair and maintenance activities.

- Forecasting, ordering and negotiating price on all maintenance purchases.

- Oversee calibration requirements and maintain records.

- Responsible for cleanliness and upkeep of facilities and properties.

Process Engineering:



- Lead continuous improvement and cost reduction projects.

- Co-ordinate capital projects, working with vendors from RFQ through implementation.

- Always looking for new ways to improve productivity, cutting costs while improving reliability.

- Participate as a member of the feed safety team.

Experience and Skills required:



- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on repair of machinery and equipment.

- Hands on leader who is available to assist in all urgent matters.

- Agricultural background would be an asset.

- Data driven problem solver, tracking trends and focused on making improvements.

- A solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.

- Troubleshooting skills on mechanical and electrical.

- Able to read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical documents.

- Knowledge of preventive and predictive programs to minimize downtime and maximize equipment lifespan.

- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
