Who you are!
The successful candidate will exhibit keen attention to detail as well as demonstrate the ability to proactively solve problems and seek solutions in an ever-changing environment. This individual must be able to work well in a team-oriented environment and show a willingness to take on tasks as needed. The Mortgage Officer is an evolving role, and requires an individual that is flexible, and prepared to learn new skills.
Responsibilities:
Working within the Client Relations team on various projects, as assigned
Preparation of payout and information statements as requested by lawyers and clients
Ensure accurate and timely processing of payout and paydown funds
Serve as a liaison between lawyers and borrowers to facilitate smooth transactions and maintain professional relationships with clients.
Manage borrower requests on home equity lines of credit, including reviewing loan history, coordinating with relevant departments, and issuing monthly statements
Performing AML-related activities to ensure compliance
Regularly review and update procedures to align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
Audit transactions to ensure accuracy, identifying and addressing any discrepancies
General administrative duties such as data entry, document production, and learning across other mortgage servicing roles, all while ensuring regulatory compliance and anti-money laundering standards are met!
Skills Required:
Proficiency in MS Office (mainly MS Word and Excel)
High attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent time management skills
Excellent ability to communicate with a high level of integrity and professionalism
Exceptionally organized with a great ability to multitask
Possess a high level of initiative to produce accurate work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
Fluent in verbal and written English
A Mortgage Agent License in AB, BC, or ON is an asset
