experienced Mortgage Agent

Key Responsibilities

Communicate with clients to understand their mortgage needs and objectives Provide tailored mortgage solutions based on client financial profiles Assist clients with mortgage applications and documentation collection Evaluate income, credit, and down payment to determine mortgage eligibility Collaborate with lenders to secure competitive rates and optimal terms Guide clients through the full mortgage process with clarity and transparency Explain mortgage terms, conditions, and options in a clear and concise manner Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the client journey

Requirements & Experience

Must hold an active Mortgage Agent license in Ontario

OR

Have

a minimum of 3 years of experience

with a Canadian bank or financial institution in a mortgage-related role Previous experience in financial services, preferably mortgage lending Strong understanding of mortgage products, underwriting guidelines, and loan origination Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly and confidently Strong math skills for calculating loan amounts, interest rates, and payments Proficiency in

Microsoft Excel

for basic analysis and reporting Proven ability to negotiate effectively with lenders Bilingual proficiency (English and another language) is considered an asset Client-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
