JOB DESCRIPTION VWR Capital Corp. is a small but dynamic financial services company headquartered in Langley, BC. We are seeking a cheerful, detail-orientated, full-time Mortgage Administrator to join our growing team. VWR Capital Corp. (VWR) traces its roots back to the early 1990s when our founder and CEO saw the opportunity to establish a Mortgage Investment Corporation (MIC). Today, VWR has a portfolio of over $700 million in mortgages under administration across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario. As a Mortgage Administrator, you will help us ensure that our clients receive exceptional customer service and support, while carefully maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality. You will be responsible for managing various administrative aspects of a client\xe2\x80\x99s mortgage and play a critical role in the overall client experience. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES \xc2\xb7 Prepare and issue mortgage Renewal Documents within determined timeframes while ensuring accuracy. \xc2\xb7 Review incoming Reporting Packages from lawyers, set up files in the database system and ensure that all information received is confirmed and correct. \xc2\xb7 Review incoming State of Title Certificate\xe2\x80\x99s (STC\xe2\x80\x99s) and file accordingly. \xc2\xb7 Follow up with borrowers following NSF payments (Returned payments) and reschedule make up payments. \xc2\xb7 Ensure that all mortgages have current property insurance in place with VWR named as a loss payable. \xc2\xb7 Respond to phone and email inquiries from clients, brokers, lawyers. \xc2\xb7 Transfer funds in a priority manner to appropriate law offices for new mortgages. (based on related experience) \xc2\xb7 Prepare and send mortgage payout statements to requesting law offices/lenders within determined timeframes while ensuring accuracy. (based on related experience) \xc2\xb7 Process mortgage payout transactions accurately and promptly. (based on related experience) \xc2\xb7 Assist with all aspects of mortgage administration as required.

  • Look for ways to improve and streamline mortgage processes to be more efficient and effective.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE \xc2\xb7 Exceptionally detail orientated with strong problem-solving skills. \xc2\xb7 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects going simultaneously. \xc2\xb7 Self-starter with excellent teamwork and collaborative abilities. \xc2\xb7 Critical thinker who is able to review various mortgage related documents and determine if follow up is required. \xc2\xb7 Strong work ethic and punctuality. \xc2\xb7 Proficient with Microsoft Office specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook, and Google Suite. \xc2\xb7 Able to navigate paperless systems, documents, and filing. \xc2\xb7 Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. \xc2\xb7 Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high degree of discretion and confidentiality. \xc2\xb7 Enthusiastic and genuine with a \xe2\x80\x9chow can I help?" positive attitude. \xc2\xb7 Effective time-management skills. \xc2\xb7 Ability to learn quickly with a flair for multi-tasking. \xc2\xb7 Flexibility to be able to move between activities and duties quickly if priorities change. \xc2\xb7 A Business or Financial Services Diploma and/or mortgage or real estate experience is an asset. EXPERIENCE: You should have a minimum of 3-5 years of office administration or relevant experience. Previous mortgage administration, banking, or conveyancing experience is preferred. COMPENSATION DETAILS \xc2\xb7 Full-Time Position \xc2\xb7 Salary compensation paid semi-monthly, $55,000.00-$65,000.00 based on experience \xc2\xb7 Office-based position out of our Langley location \xc2\xb7 Hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm \xc2\xb7 Extended Health Benefits + Health Spending Account provided after 3 months \xc2\xb7 Participation in annual bonus program \xc2\xb7 Group RRSP matching (3%) provided after 1 year \xc2\xb7 2 or 3 weeks paid vacation \xe2\x80\x93 based on experience \xc2\xb7 5 days paid sick leave Job Type: Full-time Salary: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year Benefits:
