The Mortgage Account Manager is responsible for successfully supporting overall portfolio growth in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment. They manage relationships with assigned clients, provide best-in-class mortgage advice, and mentor support staff who assist with fulfilling tasks. This role ensures that goals are met while providing the best service and advice. Responsibilities (Tasks associated with the role) Overview

  • Handling inbound leads, online, by phone, or in-person and converting them into mortgage commitments
  • Ensuring a smooth and exceptional customer experience is paramount throughout the mortgage application process.
Performance
  • Learn the company\'s culture, values, business practices, organizational structure and general policies and procedures.
  • Handle all client interactions from first contact until Commitment and maintain a high level of client satisfaction
  • Successfully contribute to the funding results, ensuring growth and profitability targets are met.
  • Effectively manage tasks and cases to adhere to predetermined Service Level Agreements.
  • Achieve and maintain targets for volume, compliance, and service excellence
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities.
Compliance
  • Effectively partner with Mortgage Professionals to deliver a top-of-class experience to our clients and ensure company targets are being met.
  • Take ownership of approved files, being responsible for ensuring the application meets qualification requirements.
  • Verify the information received to ensure accuracy, then recommend financing strategies and solutions based on your file assessment and understanding of lending guidelines.
  • Maintain knowledge of residential mortgage underwriting policies, procedures, products, and relevant legislation.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and that all records are stored and retained to meet Company standards.
  • Follow AML procedures on all files, emphasizing "Know Your Client" rules.
Customer Excellence
  • Exceptional client relationship management, providing an outstanding client experience through top-notch advice and courteous, professional service
  • Handle all financing questions for clients you manage, assess client needs to understand each client\'s goals and finances.
Communication
  • Liaise with lenders and negotiate the best financing options on behalf of clients
  • Respond to questions or concerns from clients in a timely and courteous manner to ensure timely and accurate completion of each mortgage transaction
  • Communicate with internal contacts to ensure service level standards are met and foster positive relationships.
  • Ensure mortgage statuses are accurate and communicated appropriately.
  • Resolve escalated issues and offer solutions to maintain high client satisfaction

Requirements (Expected Proficiencies)
  • Completed college/university or equivalency
  • Three years of ACTIVE mortgage industry experience
  • Licensed as a mortgage agent/broker
  • Experience underwriting mortgage transactions and familiarity with underwriting guidelines with various lenders.
  • Excellent organization skills with the ability to manage deadlines and generate results in a fast-paced environment
  • Effectively use email, internet, Excel, file sharing, e-signatures, PDF documents, CRM system, Office 365, MS Teams, Zoom, and D+H Expert/Filogix.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
