We're seeking an experienced, motivated, and collaborative Montney Development Engineer to join our Asset Team in Calgary, Alberta. Reporting to the Manager, Montney Asset, you'll contribute to technical and strategic initiatives across our Montney portfolio, including capital stewardship, planning, reserves, and development optimization. You'll work on our core assets in Pouce Coupe and Gordondale, with exposure to emerging projects in Elmworth. As part of a results-driven team, you'll help drive a strategy focused on maximizing infrastructure, improving capital efficiency, and meeting global demand for clean, reliable natural gas. Key Responsibilities
In a lead or supporting capacity, you will:
Coordinate capital and production budgets with Business Development and Operations Teams
Support long-term development planning and asset strategy
Contribute to reserves evaluation and reporting with internal and third-party teams
Collaborate with geoscience and operations to align development execution
Prepare and present technical reviews to senior leadership
Conduct competitor analysis to inform strategic decisions
Enhance field development plans focused on recovery and economic performance
Drive continuous improvement through innovation, optimization, and performance tracking
Qualifications and Skills
P.Eng. Designation with a current licensure under the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA)
5-10 years of Montney Development Experience
Strong understanding of pipeline systems, natural gas/liquids processing, and storage infrastructure
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in ValNav, Spotfire, and Aucerna Execute
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Advanced judgement, problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
Collaborative mindset with a passion for innovation and improvement
