Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Early Childhood Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting the development and well-being of young children in a nurturing educational environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, experience in caregiving, and a background in early childhood education. Responsibilities

Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and activities that promote learning and social development Support children during classroom activities, playtime, and rest periods to ensure their safety and engagement Provide care and supervision for children, including helping with feeding, diapering, and hygiene routines as needed Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment that encourages children's curiosity and independence Collaborate with team members to monitor children's progress and communicate observations to parents or guardians Assist with classroom organization, setup, and cleanup to maintain a clean and safe learning space Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing additional assistance as required

Qualifications

Prior classroom experience working with young children or in early childhood education preferred Experience working with in a Montessori environment is a plus Strong caregiving skills with a genuine interest in supporting children's developmental needs Knowledge of age-appropriate teaching methods and activities for early childhood development Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team Patience, compassion, and a positive attitude towards children and their families Ability to pass background checks and adhere to safety protocols related to childcare environments First aid CPR level C mandatory
