JOB TITLE: RNCMA - Nurse Manager

CLASSIFICATION: Registered Nurse Class Manager (RNCMA)

LANGUAGE: English Essential with requirements to handle verbal French inquiries

HOURS OF WORK: Day; Evening; Subject to change due to operational requirements

SALARY: $42.95 to $52.26 per hour

JOB PURPOSE:

To holistically coordinate the care of each patient, incorporating the nursing profession\'s values of knowledge, theory, and practice. To assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the needs of patients and significant others in the delivery of care and collaborate with all members of the interdisciplinary team in this approach.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Nursing and active registration with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick, or eligible for such registration
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills, with supervisory experience.
  • CNA certification in Mental Health Nursing would be an asset
  • Experience in the field of Mental Health and more specifically Child and Youth Mental Health would be an asset
  • Must have excellent communication skills and demonstrated teamwork with multidisciplinary team members
  • Ability to attend work on a regular basis
  • Ability to perform the duties of the position
  • Good work record
  • Written and spoken competence in English (B2.1 or Advanced) and spoken competence in French (B1.2 or Intermediate Plus) are required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide leadership for Health Professionals in an in-patient environment
  • Collaboration with adult A&MH teams and department of pediatrics.
  • Maintain support for the team to facilitate continuity of care while managing unit beds efficiently.
  • Coordinate and maintain provincial access, communication, and growth within CAPU. Support inpatient best practice regionally across the Child and Youth program.
  • Maintain positive and open communication with physicians, support coordination of client care, and facilitate continuous improvement of processes.
  • Collaboration with adult A&MH teams.
