HOURS OF WORK: Day; Subject to change due to operational requirements

SALARY: $35.34 to $44.77 per hour

JOB PURPOSE:

To plan and provide nursing care to meet the individual needs of the patient, in accordance with the philosophy, objectives, policies, procedures and Nursing Care Standards of the Hospital and the Department of Ambulatory Care. To participate in the ongoing operations of the Clinic E.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate nurse - actively registered in New Brunswick, or eligible for such registration.
• Ability to perform assigned duties and ability to work with very fine instrumentation.
• Must have at least 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience in the last 5 years.
• Willing to take BCMI within 6 Months.
• Knowledge, ability and willingness to provide quality care in a caring and pleasant manner.
• Must have good assessment and documentation skills.
• All mandatory Certifications must be up to date
• Must be willing to be on-call to assist with emergency procedures
• Must be willing to undergo additional training in order to perform independent procedures that do not require a physician.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
• Ability to physically perform the duties of the position.
• Good work record.
• Written and spoken competence in English (B2.1 or Advanced) and spoken competence in French (B1.2 or Intermediate Plus) are required.
