Job Summary

We are hiring an experienced

Mold Setup Technician

to support

injection molding manufacturing operations

. The successful candidate will be responsible for

mold changeovers, machine setup, process troubleshooting, and quality control

to ensure efficient production and compliance with customer and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform

mold changeovers

, tooling changes, and material changes on

injection molding machines

Set up and start injection molding machines for production runs Troubleshoot

processing issues

, machine faults, and product defects Adjust machine parameters to optimize

cycle times, part quality, and efficiency

Support production operators and Shift Supervisors with technical guidance Conduct

first-piece inspections

and ongoing in-process quality checks Monitor part weights, dimensions, and production output Respond to machine alarms and operator call lights Perform

preventive maintenance

on molds, tooling, and related equipment Complete production records, setup sheets, mold change reports, and quality logs Work collaboratively with

Maintenance, Tooling, and Quality Assurance teams

Follow all

health and safety procedures

, lockout/tagout requirements, and PPE guidelines Participate in

continuous improvement, 5S, and lean manufacturing initiatives

Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience

Required:



High school diploma or equivalent Hands-on experience with

injection molding machines

Mold setup, tooling setup, and machine changeover experience Strong

mechanical aptitude

and understanding of industrial equipment Basic computer skills for production reporting

Preferred:



Technical or trade school education (Mechanical Technology, Millwright, or related field) Junior Millwright certification Experience in

manufacturing, packaging, or food-grade production environments

Power press or stamping operations experience
Skills & Competencies

Strong

problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Ability to work independently and in a team-based manufacturing environment Good communication and organizational skills Attention to detail and commitment to

quality control

Flexible and adaptable with a

continuous improvement mindset


Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week

Work Location: In person
